Description solution
Existing structure before work:
- 15cm of wearing course
- 20cm of untreated gravel
- 35cm to 1m of clay-gravel materials
Using the Tensarpave software, an improvement of the road structure was designed by integrating the TRIAX TX 170 GD product to achieve a bearing capacity of 50MPa or 80MPa while reducing the layer of materials.

Solution #2 with assumption of soil bearing capacity of 20 MPa
- TriAx® TX 170 GD
- 35cm of GNT 0/20
- Expected Bearing Capacity: 80 MPa
The use of TriAx® allowed the removal of the 35cm to 1m of clay-gravel materials.
TX 170GD is a stabilization system in polypropylene with rigid triangular meshes of secant modulus 480 kN/m, combined with a 100g/m² filtering geotextile with a strength of 8kN/m (standard EN ISO 10319).
The manufacturing process from a perforated and stretched polypropylene sheet creates very resistant nodes.
Its triaxial shape enables the confinement of aggregates for effective mechanical interlocking.
