Upstream cladding
The upstream cladding must be stabilised to resist fluctuations in the water level and wave pressure, by means of drainage blankets comprising a geotextile filter with rockfill on top.
The teracro geocellular structure is the efficient, economical alternative. It allows the site materials to be re-used and ensures retention, filtration and drainage.
The cladding can be waterproofed with a geomembrane liner protected by reinforced teracro© and supplemented by a teradrain© puncture-resistant material acting as a control drain.
- Geocellular draining structure for filtration and erosion control: teracro©
- Geomembrane barrier for waterproofing:HDPE 15/10th
- Puncture-resistant drainage sheet for filtration, drainage and puncture resistance: teradrain©
Downstream drainage blanket
The downstream drainage blanket that is essential to improve stability by capturing infiltration is implemented by the needle-punched nonwoven composite sheet with a network of mini-drains: teradrain©
